Sport fishing in the alps

Valtellina offers idyllic locations to enjoy your favourite sport. From the crystal-clear waters of the River Adda to mountain streams and Alpine lakes, the Sondrio province is a perfect destination for peaceful moments in nature.

These waters are home to prized species like trout, Arctic char, and grayling—found especially in the Adda and numerous side streams, Alpine lakes, and torrents. Among the best-known spots is the Val Belviso, famous for its scenery and rich fish populations.

Central Valtellina also features many artificial lakes ideal for relaxed, accessible fishing. Popular destinations like the Lakes at Parco Prati di Punta, Magnolta Lake, and Lake Sommasassa offer stunning settings, easy access, and family-friendly services. Beginners are welcome too, with rental gear and courses available on-site.
