The purpose of the Consorzio Turistico Media Valtellina is to promote and enhance the territory of the Tirano district. To achieve this goal, the Consortium designs and implements a series of targeted initiatives. These activities are sometimes managed independently and, in other cases, in partnership with other stakeholders such as the Province of Sondrio, the Comunità Montana di Tirano, the municipalities of the district, the Rhaetian Railway and local associations, while also involving the local economic operators who are members of the Consortium.
