Following the success of the first event, Park Under the Stars returns with two new evening experiences on Friday, 8 August and Friday, 22 August.
As night falls and the stars light up the Valtellina sky, the Rock Engravings Park of Grosio and Grosotto takes on a whole new atmosphere. The trails become even more captivating, the ancient stones reveal stories thousands of years old, and the Rupe Magna unveils its secrets under the magic of raking light.
A unique experience, perfect both for first-time visitors and for those wishing to rediscover this extraordinary archaeological heritage from a different perspective.
The Itinerary
The Terraced Landscape and Dry-Stone Walls
The tour begins through the terraced landscape, where the dry-stone walls tell the story of the hard work, skill and dedication of the communities that have shaped these mountainsides for centuries.
San Faustino and Visconti Castles
The route continues among the remains of the valley’s medieval history. After sunset, the walls of the two castles become even more evocative, bringing the charm of the past to life.
Rupe Magna by Raking Light
The final stop is the spectacular Rupe Magna. Using flashlights, visitors will discover rock engravings and details normally hidden from view, revealing more than 3,000 years of history through the effect of raking light.

Meeting point: 8:45 PM at the parking area on Via Tridentina, next to the A2A hydroelectric power station.
Participants are advised to bring a flashlight, which is essential for viewing the Rupe Magna and walking safely along the route.
