A journey through the senses and the Valtellina region
On Saturday, May 31 at 6:00 PM, the exhibition “Valtellina. The Sense of Wine” opens to the public at Palazzo Besta — a project dedicated to the deep connection between wine and the cultural heritage of Valtellina.
This sensory and inclusive experience invites visitors to explore Valtellina wine as a true expression of the land, its history, and its identity.
More than a tasting: wine is discovered through sight, smell, and touch, in an immersive experience that engages both body and mind.
The exhibition is hosted in the ancient cellars of Palazzo Besta, where, as early as the 16th century, the Besta family preserved their finest bottles. A place full of charm that today comes back to life, strengthening the bond between the palace and the excellence of Valtellina.
The initiative is curated by Sara Missaglia, the scientific mind and driving force behind the project, with the support of institutions, organizations, and local partners who helped bring it to life.
