The recently opened Chestnut Trail (Trocc’ di Arbui) is a loop hiking tour in the municipality of Mazzo di Valtellina that runs along the side of the Mortirolo.
Starting from the town square, the trail leads to the ancient district of Ronchiraldo, and from here we ascend to the Church of San Matteo (830m). Continuing slightly uphill, we take us through the chestnut-rich woods of Mazzo and then begin a long traverse in the direction of the municipality of Tovo, and then begin the descent to the Pedenale Tower, and from here we return to the village square.
