Val Grosina is a wide and enchanting valley in Valtellina, split into two branches: the lush Val d’Eita to the east and the scenic Val di Sacco (or Val de Dosa) to the west. Recommended Itinerary: Simple Loop in Val d’Eita
This circular route is ideal for families and those seeking an easy yet panoramic hike.
- Start: Parking lot in front of the Eita Church Office (Fabbriceria)
- Route: Follow road N201 toward Passo Verva. After about 1.6 km (roughly 45 minutes), you reach the fork to Rifugio Falck, which will be your return path. Continue for another 10 minutes and 500 meters to reach the picturesque Laghetto delle Acque Sparse, a peaceful spot perfect for a nature break.
- On the return, take trail N259.2, which leads first to Rifugio Falck (an unmanaged refuge with an emergency shelter) and then to a bog with a newly installed wooden walkway. From here, continue to Alpe Cassarolo and return to Eita along the road.
